Carbon Ecosystem Grants Program

The Carbon Ecosystem Grants Program offers milestone-based funding to bolster initiatives focused on decentralizing and expanding the Carbon ecosystem.

Anyone interested in building dApps on Carbon EVM can apply for the grant.

Grant Categories

The Carbon Ecosystem Grants Program will be divided into two categories:

Development Grant

Development grants will be awarded to developers building dApps on the Carbon EVM network.

Projects should focus on DeFi functionality and user experience.

Categories for things you can build:

  • Trading Bots such as Grid Bots or DCA Bots

  • Yield-Bearing Stablecoins (preferably using Cosmos’ high staking reward assets)

  • Forks of popular EVM protocols such as AMM Swaps, GMX Forks, Money Markets

  • Yield Aggregators

  • Options Market

  • Prediction/Auction Markets

Community Grant

Community grants will be awarded to individuals or organizations working on initiatives that will grow and engage the Carbon community. Projects should focus on topics such as education, outreach, and community building.

Grant Amount

The Carbon Ecosystem Grants Program will award grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, depending on the category and scope of the project.

Only a maximum of five projects will be selected for inclusion in the grant program at any given time.

The application period for the upcoming Q3 cohort will commence on 24th July and end on 7th August.

Eligibility

Developers, researchers, and community members alike are all eligible to apply for the grant.

Projects should be open source and align with the core principles of Carbon network, focusing on decentralization, security and privacy.

Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and grants will be awarded based on merit.

Review Process

Once you submit your application, the Grants team will assess it to ensure that it aligns with the initial criteria outlined in the Grants Program.

Selected applicants will be notified via email for an interview.

In the event that an applicant's submission does not meet the program's requirements, they will also be notified via email. However, such applicants are encouraged to reapply, providing additional details and clarity about their projects.

The entire review process generally takes around 2-4 weeks from the date of application submission.

Grant Distribution

Applicants selected for the program will receive the grant in SWTH tokens, which will be vested for one year, subject to the achievement of specific milestones.
